ASI451145 | 4-20mA Signal Splitter | 1 Input (2 or 3-Wire), 2 Isolated Outputs | 24V DC | DIN Rail Mount
The ASI451145 takes one 4-20mA (or 0-20mA) sensor signal and sends an identical copy to two devices at once for example, a PLC and a chart recorder, or a local display and a SCADA system without the two loads interfering with each other. Each output is electrically isolated from the input, from the other output, and from the power supply, so it breaks ground loops and blocks the noise that causes drifting or jumpy readings. It accepts both 2-wire (loop-powered) and 3-wire transmitters, mounts on standard 35mm DIN rail in a 17.5mm-wide housing, and runs on a 24V DC supply. Zero and span potentiometers let you fine-tune each output in the field.
Cross-referenced as UGLBE-C/CV/S-1/2.
Key Features
• One input, two independent outputs duplicate a single 4-20mA / 0-20mA signal to
two devices with no signal loss between them
• Accepts 2-wire and 3-wire transmitters works with loop-powered field sensors and
externally powered 3-wire transmitters
• 3-way isolation (1500 VAC) input, both outputs, and power are isolated from each
other to eliminate ground loops and block electrical noise
• 0.1% FS accuracy, ≤5 ms response fast enough for closed-loop control, not just
monitoring
• Slim 17.5mm DIN rail housing fits tight panels and high-density rails; 20-14 AWG
screw terminals
• Wide operating range −20°C to +60°C, 20-30 Vdc supply, ≤60 mA draw
• Factory-calibrated ready to wire and run out of the box
Applications
• Sending one transmitter signal to a PLC and a separate display or recorder at the
same time
• Feeding the same level, flow, pressure, or temperature signal to both a control system
and a SCADA/telemetry unit
• Breaking ground loops between field instruments and control panels on long cable
runs
• Splitting a flow or metering signal between two parties (for example, a supply meter
shared between operations and billing)
• Distributing a sensor signal across separate I/O cards, drives, or chart recorders in the
same panel
• Isolating a noisy field signal before it reaches a sensitive analog input card
Commonly Used To Power / Control / Monitor
• Monitor level, flow, pressure, and temperature transmitters across two systems at
once
• Control VFDs / drives and valve positioners from a duplicated setpoint or process
signal
• Power 2-wire (loop-powered) transmitters from the splitter's input loop
• Monitor tank levels, pump stations, and lift stations in water/wastewater
• Control dosing, blending, and batching loops that report to both a PLC and an
operator display
• Monitor the same signal at a local panel meter and a remote DCS/SCADA node
Why Choose This Product?
Most plants run into the same wall: a single transmitter, but two places that need its reading. Wiring both devices into the same loop usually causes problems added burden the transmitter can't drive, shared grounds that create loops, or one device's noise corrupting the other. The ASI451145 solves that directly by reproducing the input as two fully isolated, independent 4-20mA outputs, so each device sees a clean, identical signal and neither can affect the other.
It's built to drop into real panels with minimal fuss. The 17.5mm-wide housing clips onto standard 35mm DIN rail, the screw terminals take common 20-14 AWG wire, and it accepts both 2-wire and 3-wire transmitters, so you don't have to match the splitter to the sensor type. It arrives factory-calibrated, and the front-accessible zero and span pots let you trim each output in place if a long cable run or a sensor offset needs correcting. Response time is under 5 ms and accuracy is 0.1% of full scale, so the duplicated signal is usable for control loops, not just indication.
The ASI451145 covers the same 1-in / 2-out isolated splitting job as units from the major signal-conditioning brands, at a price that makes sense when you're buying more than one.
ASI stocks it in Mechanicsburg, PA, with in-stock orders placed before 3:00 PM ET shipping the same day so you can specify it knowing it will be on the rail when you need it, not on backorder.
