ASID-05-C-2 is an Industrial RS485 Surge Protection Device rated 5V/0.5A. This surge protector supports 2 wire RS485 systems. It has an aluminum housing, and 3-Position Pluggable I/O Terminal Blocks. The RS-485 data port protectors are designed in accordance with IEC 61643-21. They incorporate gas discharge tubes, protection resistors and transzorb diodes to ensure up to 10kA protection per the 8/20µs curve. Both RS-485 lines are shielded.
