ASI Pull-Out Safety Switch Kit for Elevator Compensation Cable Safety Systems (POSK)
The ASI Pull-Out Safety Switch Kit provides a simple and reliable method of monitoring elevator compensation cable support systems. Installed adjacent to the compensation cable attachment point, the kit is designed so that if excessive cable loading or a mechanical support failure occurs, the pull-out actuator is removed from the safety switch, immediately changing the switch contacts and signaling the elevator controller.
This mechanical safety device provides an additional layer of protection by allowing the controller to stop elevator operation before further damage or hazardous conditions develop.
The compact switch enclosure is suitable for industrial and elevator applications where dependable mechanical position sensing is required.
The installation concept is the same as that commonly used on compensation cable safety systems: the switch is mounted near the cable support, and a cable tie connects the actuator to the cable safety loop or chain. If the support releases, the actuator is pulled from the switch, changing the electrical state of the contacts.
