24VDC 5A Redundant DIN Rail Power Supply | 120W | Internal ORing Diode | 90-264VAC Input | XCSF120CP
24VDC 5A Redundant DIN Rail Power Supply
The XCSF120CP is a compact 120W industrial DIN rail power supply designed for redundant 24VDC control power systems where equipment availability and continuous operation are important. It provides regulated 24VDC power at 5A continuous output and includes a factory-installed internal ORing diode, simplifying the design of redundant power systems without requiring a separate external ORing diode.
With universal 90–264VAC input, adjustable 23–27.5VDC output, high temporary overload capability, DC OK monitoring, and comprehensive electrical protection, the XCSF120CP is designed for critical industrial control, automation, and monitoring applications.
What Does This Power Supply Do?
The XCSF120CP converts a wide range of AC input power from 90–264VAC into regulated 24VDC control power capable of continuously supplying up to 5A at 45°C.
The output voltage can be adjusted from 23–27.5VDC, providing flexibility for equipment requirements or compensation for voltage drop in DC distribution wiring.
The XCSF120CP also accepts 100–345VDC input, with derating below 130VDC.
Most importantly, the XCSF120CP incorporates an internal ORing diode specifically for redundant parallel operation.
Why Use a Redundant Power Supply?
A single power supply can become a single point of failure in an industrial control system.
If that supply fails, equipment powered by the 24VDC control circuit—including PLCs, remote I/O, industrial networking equipment, sensors, instrumentation, and other controls—may shut down.
A properly designed redundant power system uses multiple power supplies so that another supply can continue supporting the critical load if one power supply fails.
The XCSF120CP simplifies this design by incorporating the ORing diode required for redundant operation directly into the power supply.
What Problem Does This Solve?
Unexpected loss of 24VDC control power can cause:
• PLC Shutdown
• Loss of Remote I/O
• HMI Shutdown
• Loss of Industrial Communications
• Machine Shutdown
• Process Interruption
• Loss of Monitoring Equipment
• Production Downtime
Using XCSF120CP power supplies in a properly designed redundant configuration reduces the risk that failure of a single power supply will interrupt power to critical 24VDC equipment.

Why Choose the XCSF120CP?
The XCSF120CP combines 120W of regulated 24VDC power with built-in redundancy capability in a compact 40mm wide DIN rail package.
Its factory-installed internal ORing diode eliminates the need for a separate external ORing diode when configuring redundant power, helping reduce component count, wiring, and panel space.
The XCSF120CP also provides substantial temporary overload capability. Its 5A continuous output can increase to 8A for more than 30 seconds, helping support loads with elevated startup current requirements.
The integrated DC OK dry-contact alarm provides another important advantage in redundant systems: a PLC or monitoring system can detect a power supply problem even while the remaining supply continues powering the load.
Need a Standard or Redundant Power Supply?
For standard 24VDC applications, consider the XCSF120C, which provides the same 24VDC 5A nominal output without the integrated ORing diode.
For applications where power-supply redundancy is required, the XCSF120CP includes the internal ORing diode needed for redundant parallel operation.
